Ikon Eastside was an art gallery in the Digbeth area of Birmingham, England. The gallery opened in 2006 as a second venue for the long-established Ikon Gallery in Brindleyplace.〔(Ikon Eastside opens its doors for 2006 ) Urban Fusion〕 It was housed in a Victorian former chapel and Sunday school, recognisable by the enigmatic words "Stay away from Lonely Places" prominently displayed on the façade - an artwork by Canadian artist Ron Terada.〔(Ron Terada - Stay Away From Lonely Places ) Urban Fusion〕 This venue closed on summer 2007, but the gallery re-opened in a different building a short distance away in May 2008.〔(New Ikon Eastside Space ) Ikon Gallery〕 After being part of the Fazeley Studios complex it closed for good in 2011.〔(Ikon Eastside confirms closure from April 2011 ) Ikon Gallery〕 ==External links==
